Hi Terry,

If you're still looking for a heritage turkey - please call us asap at 800-327-8246. We cannot guarantee they'll still be there... BUT we do have a few heritage birds left in the house. If you order by phone by noon EST today (Monday) we can still get your turkey to you in time!

Sorry you couldn't find a fresh heritage turkey locally. There could be a couple of reasons for this - first, (fortunately) more people are understanding the importance of buying heritage so demand is higher. Also (unfortunately) farmers lost a of of birds this year due to weather so there were less turkeys to start with. We encourage people to pre-order their holiday birds on our website as soon as they become available. Pre-ordering will reserve your bird right down to preferred type and size. You'll be able to choose the delivery date that works best for you.

Hope this helps!!

Today is the saturday before Thanksgiving. Drove all over trying to find a Heritage turkey. Couldn't find one!!! Went to Hiller's in Berkley,Michigan and they were sold out a week before Thanksgiving. Leaving an uncooked turkey in the fridge for a week is not a good idea. Why can't we buy fresh turkeys 3 days before Thanksgiving???
